Software maintenance is generally carried out for those systems supplied by IT Vendor and starts after the warranty period.
Maintenance Process starts with a Maintenance Request, which could be either Problem Reporting or Change Request. Change Request could be either modification of the existing feature(s) or enhancement to the existing system.
